Valence TGV – 30 June 2010

From the automotive industry in 1993 to more than 10 industrial fields today

Invented in 1993 for  the automotive industry  in the context of a European project, the CANopen application layer protocol has been extended since then to other communication media like ethernet. It can now easily address  the sensor/actuator/calculator issues in more that ten  industry  segments.

CANopen is becoming a universal protocol

CANopen has reached the point to become within the following decade  the most mature, open and vendor independant layer 7  automation protocol. It can be used in almost any distributed application to reduce costs, increase  creativity  and accelerate innovation. Its acceptance as a universal protocol keeps on growing.

The CANopen Convergence Day to understand the stakes.

This conference/exhibition is organized in collaboration with  the main European contributors to the CANopen technology. The event  is a unique opportunity to get a fast focus on current and future usages of CANopen.
